About EAMGCC

The Euro-Arab Mashreq Gas Co-operation Centre was established as part of a regional project funded by a €6 million grant from the EU and €1 million from the Governments of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
A Euro-Arab Mashreq Gas Co-operation Centre is being established in Damascus, with liaison offices in Cairo, Amman and Beirut. The Centre will prepare a Gas Master Plan and Network Development Plan for the region, formulate recommendations for improving the legislative and regulatory framework for gas, and provide training and know-how transfer to people in the gas industry. Technical advice and support is being provided by a consortium comprising: IPA Energy Consulting, a leading UK-based energy markets consultancy, Penspen, an expert in the planning of energy infrastructure, and the technical knowledge and training expertise of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.
